About the service

Veet’s home-cooked meals are cooked with love every Monday, ready to eat or freeze.

All meals are nutritious and delicious using as much local ingredients as possible.

Why order meals from Veet’s Cuisine?

Fresh and best quality!

The freshest and best quality ingredients are used. Fruit and vegetables are sourced from local farmers markets, farms and suppliers. All meals are preservative free. Curry pastes, paneer, ricotta cheese, pesto, etc, are home made, using vegetarian ingredients only.

Dietary balance and special requirements

Each week a menu of four different meal choices is offered. See examples and this week's menu. All meals on the menu are great to reheat on the day of purchase or pop in the freezer and reheat at another time.

All meals can be adapted to your individual dietary requirements. I have a sound understanding of

• gluten intolerance
• coeliac disease
• vegan diets
• diabetes
• low carbohydrate diets
• food allergies.

In addition I am willing to learn about any other dietary needs you may have.

Each meal comprises a complete meal in regards to dietary requirements for a vegetarian. The meals are well balanced ensuring you receive adequate protein from a variety of sources.

Portion size

Each meal is a  serving enough for one person. It is a large serving and smaller eaters can make the meal last over two meals.

There is a summer and winter special which feeds two people.

The family size lasagne is enough for 4-6 people and can be a complete meal by ordering steamed vegetables or salad to accompany it.

Packaging

For regular customers meals are packaged in pyrex glass containers. This is great for the environment, reheating and general presentation of the food. One-off customers can also enjoy this form of packaging if they pay a $40 deposit or you can choose to receive you meals in take-away containers.

Veet's Cuisine home meals are available in Byron Shire.

Ordering and paying

On Tuesday I send out the menu for the next week (if you are on the mailing list).

You place your order by Friday either by emailing or calling (email is best)  If ordering via email, I will send you an email within 48 hours confirming your order.

You can either pay in cash on the Monday when you pick up your food, or deposit money into my account.

Or you can pop in anytime and choose whatever you like from the freezer. You write your name and what you took on a sheet by the fridge and leave the money in the tin provided or pay me direct deposit later.  The freezer is easily accessed in the garage, so whether I am home or not you can get your food!
